Toddler Died When His Parent's Motorbike Was Hit By A Lalamove Sticker Pick Up Car In Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta

JAKARTA Against the current, a pick-up car with a Lalamove sticker hit a motorcyclist on Jalan Raya Lengteng Agung, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta (Jaksel), Sunday, November 24, 2024, at 11.49 WIB. As a result, a toddler who was being carried by his parents at that time suffered head injuries until he finally died.

Eky (41), a parking attendant near the scene, said that the cause of the accident was suspected to be because the driver of an opposing expedition (current) and crashed into the victim's passing motorbike.

"He (Balitanya) was thrown from the motorbike," said Eky when met at the location, Tuesday, November 26.

Eky also explained that the victim's parents (husband and wife) drove on a motorbike from Jalan Agung Raya 2 towards a backturn at the Pancasila University Station railway line.

Meanwhile, the perpetrator was in an expedition car with the Lalamove sticker, against the direction of Jalan Lenteng Agung Timur to make a U-turn towards Lenteng Agung Raya Street.

At that time, continued Eky, the motorcyclist was already on the right track and was surprised to see the Lalamove expedition car against the current. The motorcyclist seemed unable to control the speed, resulting in an accident.

The collision was inevitable, the toddler who was brought by his parents on a motorbike was thrown away until his head hit the asphalt.

"The toddler died, a head wound. His blood has come out a lot. Because he was thrown from his parents. It's pretty fast," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Traffic for the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Agung, confirmed the incident.

"While there is already an LP (police report). And the team is still moving to carry out an investigation," he concluded.
