DPR Holds Plenary Ratification Of KPK Leaders And Councils Next Week

JAKARTA - The DPR will hold a Plenary Meeting to ratify 5 leaders and 5 supervisory boards (Dewas) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) elected on Thursday, December 5, next week.

The ratification was carried out after Commission III of the DPR held a fit and proper test on 18-21 last November.

"Actually, at first it was discussed on the 5th (December). The 5th was discussed about it (the ratification of the KPK leadership and council)," said Member of Commission III of the DPR PKS Faction, Nasir Djamil, Tuesday, November 26.

Nasir was surprised by the rumors that the ratification of the KPK leadership and Council would be carried out today.

"That's why I was surprised too, how come there is a plan to complete it today. Initially on the 5th, it was indeed the information I received, it would be complete on the 5th," he said.

According to him, it would be unfortunate if the plenary meeting was held only on the agenda of ratifying the Capim and the candidate for the KPK Council. Moreover, tomorrow the 2025 Simultaneous Pilkada will be held throughout Indonesia.

"So, for example, if the agenda only approves the KPK's claim, it feels too bad if it is. So maybe it's a recess or something like that," he continued.

Commission III of the DPR has announced 5 candidates for the leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for the period 2024-2029, elected, Thursday, November 21. Namely Setyo Budiyanto, Johanis Tanak, Fitroh Rochcahyanto, Agus Joko Pramono and Ibnu Basuki Widodo.

And 5 candidates for the KPK Supervisory Board were elected, namely Benny Jozua Mamoto, Chisca Mirawati, Wisnu Baroto, Gusrizal, and Sumpeno.
