American Citizens Of Two Selai Kacang Tople Thieves At Bali Mall Arrested

DENPASAR The Class I Immigration Office of TPI Denpasar arrested six Foreign Citizens (WNA) in the "Operation Jagratara" which was held on November 13-14, 2024.

The six foreigners who were arrested from various countries who committed immigration violations to criminal acts in the Bali area.

Head of the Class I Immigration Office of TPI Denpasar, Ridha Sah Putra, said this operation was targeting a number of locations on the island of Bali.

"And uncover various serious violations such as misuse of residence permits, alleged overstays, and illegal activities," said Ridha, Tuesday, November 6.

During the operation, Denpasar immigration officers carried out a raid on Gang Bucu Telu II, Padangsambian Klod, West Denpasar District, Denpasar City, on November 14 morning.

At that place, officers arrested two foreigners from Tanzania with the initials APY (33) and MMS (22) who tried to escape when officers came to their boarding house. Both do not have travel documents or valid residence permits.

Then, the second operation was carried out in the Sanur area, South Denpasar District.

Officers arrested a woman who is a foreigner from the Philippines, with the initials CAI, who is suspected of working as a commercial sex worker (PSK).

These foreigners can only show their passport photos, and evidence of illegal activity found at the location.

Furthermore, Denpasar Immigration officers arrested a foreigner from Germany with the initials AUH (36) in the Ubud area, Gianyar Regency, Bali.

The foreigner is known to have abused his residence permit as an investor to run an illegal visa management business, and was arrested at night in Ubud.

Two other arrests in Sayan Village, Ubud District, Gianyar Regency. Officers arrested a foreigner from Russia with the initials LO and a foreigner from Belarus with the initials PC.

Foreign national with the initials LO was arrested for working as a therapist without permission. Meanwhile, a foreign arga with PC initials was arrested in Pelatatan Village, Ubud, arrested for a similar violation.

In addition, Denpasar Immigration officers are also examining a foreigner from the United States with the initials DQS (32) who is the perpetrator of the theft in West Denpasar.

He was handed over to the Denpasar Immigration Office, on November 16, 2024 evening by the West Denpasar Police.

"DQS was arrested after stealing two jars of peanut butter at a mall. He could only show a passport photo and was found to have a residence permit until July 2025," said Ridha.

Ridha emphasized that Operation Jagratara is proof of commitment in taking action against foreigners who violate immigration rules.

"We want to ensure that Bali remains a safe and orderly place. All foreigners arrested are now undergoing further examination at the Denpasar Immigration Office," he said. (
