President Discusses Food Stock And Prices Of Basic Materials Ahead Of Christmas-New Year
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto discussed food security issues to prices for basic commodities ahead of Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 with ministers of the Red and White Cabinet and heads of institutions, at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta.
"Nataru Preparedness (Christmas and New Year)," said Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 26.
After Zulhas, his nickname, a number of other ministers who also visited the Jakarta Presidential Palace, to attend an internal meeting with President Prabowo, including Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Trade Budi Santoso, Head of the National Food Agency Arief Prasetyo Adi, and President Director of Perum Bulog Wahyu Suparyono.
Before entering the Palace, Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman said he was asked to attend President Prabowo to report the development of food security in the future.
"This is a matter of food security. We are asked to report future developments and planning," said Minister of Agriculture Amran.

In preparation for Christmas and New Year, the Minister of Agriculture was asked to keep food stocks safe.
President Director of Perum Bulog Wahyu Suparyono said that currently the rice stock managed through government rice reserves (CBP) is relatively safe at 2 million tons.
"Yes, we have enough stock. (The rice) is two million tons safe. The other (Commodity) is sufficient," said Wahyu.
For commodities that need special attention, Wahyu awaits President Prabowo's direction after an internal meeting.
However, so far, according to him, there has been no discussion about rice imports.
