RK-Suswono Parties to Raffi Ahmad Upload Prabowo's Letter Inviting Voters to Vote for 01 During Quiet Period, Pramono Team Studies Election Violations

JAKARTA - The winning team of the Jakarta Governor-Deputy Governor candidate pair number 3, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno responded to the upload of an invitation to vote for candidate pair number 1 by the Ridwan Kamil-Suswono camp during the 2024 Pilkada quiet period.

It was observed that the letter contained a statement by Prabowo Subianto inviting people to vote for RK-Suswono and was uploaded by the RK Ecosystem volunteer mentor, Arief Rosyid, to the President's Special Envoy for the Creative Economy, Raffi Ahmad on their respective Instagram accounts on Monday, November 26.

The spokesperson for the Pramono-Rano winning team, Aris Setiawan Yodi, said that his party was currently reviewing the alleged election violations committed by the RK-Suswono camp.

"Regarding the viral letter inviting voters uploaded by the campaign team of candidate pair 1, Arief Rosyid, and also uploaded at night by a state official, namely Presidential Envoy Rafi Ahmad during the election quiet period, of course there are allegations of potential violations of the law, and this is being reviewed by the legal team," Aris told reporters on Tuesday, November 26.

Aris emphasized that in fact all parties, especially the 2024 Pilkada candidate camp, understand that during the quiet period on November 24-26, there should be no campaign activities in any form.

"During the quiet period, we will ensure and ask all volunteers and supporters to monitor and supervise the surrounding environment," explained Aris.

"There must be no practices of money politics, intervention, and gifts that later have the potential to revoke the rights and freedoms of the people of Jakarta in choosing their leaders," he added.

For information, the letter on behalf of Prabowo regarding the invitation to vote for RK-Suswono which was uploaded by Arief Rosyid and Raffi Ahmad on their personal Instagram accounts went viral on social media. Shortly after, the photo upload of the letter was deleted by both of them.

The contents of the letter are as follows:

"I, H. Prabowo Subianto as the General Chairperson and Chairperson of the Gerindra Party Advisory Board, appeal, recommend, and beg my respected and proud brother to use the power and sovereignty that is in your hands. Help your country, help your nation, use your voting rights to win pair number 1 (one), H. M. RIDWAN KAMIL - H. SUSWONO [RIDO] as Governor and Deputy Governor of Jakarta for the next 5 years," the letter read.

In response, the Head of the RK-Suswono Winning Team, Ahmad Riza Patria admitted that the letter was an instruction from Prabowo. However, Riza emphasized that the letter was not issued by Prabowo during the quiet period.

"Regarding the letter that was delivered earlier, we received information that the letter was made a long time ago, not today. It was made not on a quiet day but during the campaign period. It just so happens that some of us just found out," explained Riza.
