12-year-old Boy Disappears Drowning In Cengkareng's New River
JAKARTA - A boy named Febrian Manitur Simiror (12) has reportedly drowned in Kali Baru, Pegdongkelan, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta since Monday, November 25.
According to information gathered, the missing victim drowned on Monday at around 15.30 WIB. Previously, the victim and a number of his friends were playing on the outskirts of the New River.
The victim allegedly slipped and fell into the river and drowned. Meanwhile, the victim's friends reported the incident to the local RT management and the victim's family.
Until now, the victim has not been found and is still being searched by joint SAR officers on Tuesday, November 26.
Public Relations of the Jakarta SAR Office, Ramli Prasetyo, said that his party was still looking for the victim's whereabouts by walking along the river using a rubber boat.

"There were 6 rubber boats that were deployed to evacuate the search for victims," Ramli said when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, November 26.
The search for victims was divided into two SRU Teams (search and rescue units) who were members of the joint SAR.
"We divided the team into 2 SRUs. In the first SRU team, we carried out sweeping in rubber boats or Rubber Boats from LKP as far as -+2 km," he said.
Furthermore, in the second SRU team, carry out a visual search of land as far as 1 km.
"The evacuation will later go to Cengkareng Hospital. Now it is still in the search process," he said.
