Tax Revenue From The 2024 Mandalika MotoGP Drops Only IDR 3 Billion, Last Year IDR 12 Billion
JAKARTA - The Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province revealed that the original regional revenue (PAD) from the Indonesian MotoGP event tax at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit in 2024 was IDR 3 billion.
"Indonesia's 2024 MotoGP tax revenue is IDR 3 billion, that's what ITDC or organizers pay," said Head of Central Lombok Bapenda Baiq Aluh Windayu as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 26.
The tax revenue from the Indonesian MotoGP event has indeed decreased when compared to the 2022 MotoGP tax revenue event of IDR 12 billion, the 2023 MotoGP tax of IDR 7 billion.
Previously, it was targeted that local revenue from the 2024 Indonesian MotoGP implementation tax at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit reached IDR 7 billion, but the revenue from the racing event was IDR 3 billion.
"The target is Rp. 7 billion from the sale of MotoGP tickets. However, what was obtained was Rp. 3 billion," he said.
He said the target had indeed decreased when compared to taxes from MotoGP the previous year, because the amount of entertainment tax in accordance with the current regulation is 10 percent.
"In the past, it was 30 percent, now the latest rules apply 10 percent of the amount of the entertainment tax that must be paid by the organizers to the regions," he said.
Previously, the number of MotoGP spectators at the Mandalika Circuit for three days of the event on 27-29 September 2024 reached 120,000 people.
Director of the Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) Priandhi Satria said based on ticket counter data, the number of incoming spectators reached 120,000 out of a total of 134,000 printed tickets.
"We haven't sorted the data on each data per day, but this overall figure is based on the results of the audience who scanned the ticket barcode at the entrances to the stands," he said.

"There is an increase in the number of viewers if you look at it from 2022 and 2023. So for 2024 this is higher," he said.
