Central Jakarta KPU Ensures 7 Special TPS In Detention Centers And Prisons No Obstacles Until Vocation Day

The General Election Commission (KPU) of Central Jakarta City ensures that there are no problems with voter data from inmates at special polling stations (TPS) in the State Detention Center (Rutan) and Correctional Institutions (Lapas) in Central Jakarta ahead of the 2024 Pilkada voting day on Wednesday, November 27, tomorrow.

"Alhamdulillah, it has all been fulfilled, both the DPT, the DPT-b and the logistics," said Head of the Central Jakarta KPU, Effniadiansyah when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, November 26.

Meanwhile, regarding voter data from the inmates, Efni, his nickname, said that there were no obstacles and all ballot readiness had been completed.

"In its implementation on November 27 there will be no more problems. It's ready," he said.

Regarding the transfer of inmates from the detention center to Salemba Prison regarding the incident of 7 prisoners escaping from the Salemba Rutan, the Central Jakarta KPU said the DPT, DPT-b process and logistics had also been completed.

"Including the transfer from the inmates from the detention center to the prison because of the incident some time ago, and that has also been communicated and we have finished it too. We have coordinated both officially and persuasively to prepare everything," he said.

Efni said, there were a total of 7 special polling stations in the Salemba detention center and prison.

"There are 4 special polling stations in the detention center and 3 special polling stations in prisons, so there are a total of 7 special polling stations," he said.

It should be noted that the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada vote will take place on November 27, 2024.

The DKI Jakarta KPU has determined three pairs of candidates (paslon) for the governor and deputy governor of DKI Jakarta to run in the DKI Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

The three candidate pairs are Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO) and Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana (Dharma-Kun) from independent and Pramono Anung-Rano Karno (Pram-Doel).
