Iranian Foreign Minister Asks International Society Not To Allow Israel To Normalize Genocide
JAKARTA - Iran's foreign minister called on the international community not to allow the Zionist regime of Israel to normalize crime and genocide.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi delivered the statement in an extraordinary meeting of foreign ministers from the United Nations Charter friendly group, to discuss the humanitarian situation in occupied Palestine.
In his speech, the top Iranian diplomat explained Tehran's position regarding the latest developments in Western Asia, warning against the possibility of further weakening the United Nations' validity as a result of its persistent indifference to genocide and full-scale aggression of the Zionist regime, reported by Mehr November 25.
He stressed that the international community should not allow the actions against the laws and aggression of the Israeli regime to become commonplace.
Stopping genocide in Gaza and ending the Zionist regime's aggression against Lebanon requires a global coalition to hold accountable, try, and punish the leaders of the Zionist regime, as well as hold the regime's arms suppliers and financial and political supporters accountable, especially the United States, the top Iranian diplomat added.
Separately, Gaza's health authorities on Monday confirmed the death toll of Palestinians in Gaza since the latest conflict broke out on October 7, 2023, had reached 44,235 fatalities, while the injured were 104,638. The majority of the victims were women and children.
