The Indonesian National Team is Incomplete in the First TC Ahead of the AFF Cup 2024

JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Team will undergo a training camp (TC) ahead of appearing in the 2024 AFF Cup. In the first TC agenda held on November 27, 2024, the squad is confirmed to be incomplete.

Previously, Shin Tae-yong as the head coach of the Indonesian National Team had called 33 players for the TC agenda to be held in Bali. From the list of players who were called, not all of them were immediately present for the first TC.

For example, Kakang Rudianto. This Persib Bandung player is confirmed to be absent from the first TC agenda because he has to defend the team.

Persib Bandung will appear in the 2024/2025 AFC Champions League Two against Port FC at BG Pathum Stadium on Thursday, November 28, 2024.

"Coach Bojan (Hodak) said I have to join Persib against Port FC and I'm ready," said Kakang Rudianto in a statement quoted on Monday, November 25, 2024.

"I will answer coach Bojan's trust if I am played. If I am not played, I will continue to support the team to win against the Thai team," said Kakang again.

On Persib's agenda later, Kakang will also face his teammate on the Indonesian National Team, Asnawi Mangkualam Bahar, who is now wearing the Port FC uniform.

Regarding Asnawi, until now there has been no official statement from his club whether the player is allowed to join the Indonesian National Team TC or not.

In addition to the names above, Rafael Struick is also confirmed to not be able to join the first agenda of the Indonesian National Team TC. PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir said that Rafael Struick's club, Brisbane Roar, has given conditions for releasing its players.

The Australian club admitted that it would only release Rafael Struick when the Indonesian National Team qualifies for the 2024 AFF Cup semifinals.

"For Rafael (Struick), I have communicated with Brisbane (Roar). They will not release him in the group phase."

"If the Indonesian National Team reaches the semifinals or finals, then they will allow it," said Erick Thohir separately.
