Later, I Laughed tells the story of Xiao Ya (Teresa Li) working in a large company. He tends to accommodate others and does not express his own opinion.

However, Xiao Ya knew that he was forcing himself into an uncomfortable situation, just to survive. The situation changed when his girlfriend, Zheng Hao (Wang Hao), made three big decisions in his life.
