Car Transport Logistics Of The Overturned Regional Head Election In Buru, Four Police Injured

AMBON - One unit of logistics transport car for regional head elections (Pilkada) overturned on Jalan Nipa, Waegarahi Preparation Village, Waereman Village, Fenaleisela District, Buru Regency. Four policemen were injured.

The Head of Public Relations of the Maluku Police, Kombes Areis Aminnulla, said that the accident occurred allegedly due to bad road conditions. The road is slippery and rocky because it has not been paved, plus heavy rain.

"The traffic accident occurred on Jalan Nipa. At that time the logistics were transported using a black car," said Kombes Areis as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 25.

The car overturned while delivering logistics from Fena Leisela District to Waemite Village, Danau Rana at around 14.00 WIT.

The cause of the Estrada car capsized due to slippery road conditions due to heavy rain.

The four police officers who were injured were Bripka Jefix Hatu, Brigadier Deni Lumba, Bripda Krisna Lating, and Bripda Hendri Priatno. They are currently being treated at the Wamlana Health Center, Buru.

While the other four personnel survived, namely Aipda Hakim Tuharea, Aipda Riyadi Mulaicin, Bripka Michael Tampaty, and Bripka La Ode Dedi.

Kombes Areis explained that the logistics transport car and security personnel moved from the District Election Committee (PPK) office to Waemite Village.

"For security personnel, there are 14 people. Of which eight are Polri personnel, one is PPK chairman, one is KPU member, three are the community and one is a car driver," he said.

In addition to the 14 personnel in the car with the police number DE 1036 XX, there are also Pilkada logistics, namely for 4 Wemite village polling stations, 8 ballot boxes, 16 ballot booths, and 4 plastic bag packs.

"For the victims, four Polri personnel are temporarily being treated at the Wamlana Health Center. We are coordinating with the Police Chief if the team will conduct an investigation at the TKP," he said.

Meanwhile, Maluku KPU Chairman M. Shaddeq Fuad said the logistics that were also upside down with the car were confirmed safe and would be forwarded to their destination.
