Used To Ride Camry-Innova, Now Bali DPRD Leaders Get Alphard Allotment
The Bali Provincial House of Representatives (DPRD) has budgeted IDR 5.6 billion to buy Toyota Alphard luxury cars for four leaders for the 2024-2029 period.
Those who received Alphard's share were the Chairman of the Bali DPRD, Dewa Made Mahadnya alias Dewa Jack and three deputy chairmen namely I Wayan Disel Astawa, Ida Gede Komang Kresna Budi and I Komang Nova Sewi Putra.
Secretary of the Bali DPRD I Gede Indra Dewa Putra said the procurement was in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 20 of 2022 concerning the Sales of State/Regional Property in the Form of Official Individual Vehicles.
"PP 20 of 2022 concerning leadership vehicles, it is auctioned with terms of more than four years concerning relics of state or regional or official property, it has been processed, it has been auctioned," said Indra, Monday, November 25.
The leadership of the DPRD will be facilitated by a Toyota Alphard car with a budget of IDR 1.4 billion per unit.
"(Untuk total pengadaan mobil baru) Rp5,6 miliar, per unit Rp1,4 miliar," imbuhnya.
The procurement of this new car is to replace the previous official car that has been auctioned.
Previously, the chairman of the Bali DPRD used a Toyota Camry type car, while the Deputy Chairperson of the Bali DPRD used a Toyota Innova.
"Because there is no leadership car, that's why we have budgeted it. (The previous car) has already been auctioned," he explained.

According to the regulation, later the car of the chairman and vice chairman will only be different in engine capacity. The chairperson's car has an engine capacity of 2,700 cc, while for the deputy chairman it has a capacity of 2,500 cc.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the Bali Provincial DPRD, Dewa Made Mahayadnya, accepted the procurement. However, because it is being procured, he understands that it will take time for the procurement process.
"Because it has been explained, the car that used to be auctioned was because it was old. No problem, but this is being procured," he said.
Asked about the reason for not choosing an electric car, Dewa Jack said that the supporting facilities in Bali were not adequate.
