China Develops Aircraft Sheaths Undetected Anti-Sidulation Radar

JAKARTA - Chinese military scientists are developing stealth coatings for aircraft and other defense equipment that minimizes its visibility of anti-sidle radar.

The South China Morning Post reported the new material, disclosed by the National Defense Technology University, could convert electromagnetic waves with wavelengths from 2.3 feet to 0.6 feet into heat energy.

It is said that this technology effectively includes the broadbandwidth of the current operations of most anti-siluman radars, particularly the types of P-band and L-band waves.

The new material is light, flexible and easy to produce in large quantities, making it suitable to cover aircraft or other weapons platforms that require stealth capabilities, the newspaper said.

Scientists say the new material is cost-effective and can be used in various types of military equipment.

They believe this technology could be "a key for China to win the war in the future."

China currently holds most of the world's patents in the field of metamaterials.
