Hezbollah Reply To Israeli Attacks With Rockets, Houses Burned

JAKARTA - Hezbollah attacked two Israeli military locations in Tel Aviv with precision missiles. This is a counter-attack on Israel's attack on Beirut, Lebanon.

Police said there were several impact locations in the Tikvah Petah area, on the east side of Tel Aviv, and several people suffered minor injuries.

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said direct attacks on the region caused houses to catch fire and collapse. Television footage shows apartments damaged by rocket fire.

The Israeli military said Hezbollah fired 250 rockets at Israel, with most of them intercepted. Four people were injured by shrapnel.

Video obtained by Reuters showed projectiles exploding when they hit the roof of a building in the northern Israeli city of Nahariya.

The Israeli military warned on social media that it plans to target Hezbollah facilities in southern Beirut before an attack that destroyed two apartment blocks, according to security sources in Lebanon.

After that, the IDF said it had attacked a command center that was deliberately embedded between civilian buildings.

On Sunday, the Israeli military said it carried out an attack on 12 Hezbollah command centers on the southern outskirts of Beirut, Dahiyeh.

Meanwhile on Saturday, Israel launched one of Beirut's deadliest and most powerful attacks.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health said the death toll increased from 20 to 29 people.

A total of 84 people died on Saturday, bringing the death toll to 3,754 since October 2023.

The IDF did not comment on Saturday's attack on the Lebanese capital.

Israel launched an attack on Iran-backed Hezbollah in September, attacking southern region, Bekaa Valley and Beirut's southern suburbs with airstrikes after nearly a year of hostilities sparked by the Gaza war.
