Sudai Is Reconciled, The Police Will Take Firm Action Against Residents Of Kebon Singkong And Cipinang Jagal If They Clash Again

The East Jakarta Metro Police will take firm action against the perpetrators if they return to the brawl after a peace declaration of brawl in the Kebon Singkong (Bonsi) area, Klender Village, East Jakarta.

"If the declaration that has been made is still violated by the residents, we will make repressive actions," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly to reporters, Monday, November 25.

Kombes Nicolas explained that the perpetrators of the brawl could be charged with multiple articles according to their actions.

The perpetrators of the brawl can be charged with Article 358 of the Criminal Code, Article 351 of the Criminal Code and I of the Emergency Law.

"Those are repressive efforts. Repressive measures are law enforcement," he said.

Furthermore, Kombes Nicolas said, in the brawl there was no term victim, but there were only perpetrators.

"In the brawl there is no term victim. Because those involved in the brawl already have the intention to injure or kill other people. We remind you, brawlers can be subject to crimes," he said.

The public is advised not to fight again because it is very detrimental to themselves, the environment and the state.

Previously, it was reported that the East Jakarta Metro Police together with the East Jakarta City Government and Kodim 0505/East Jakarta held a peace declaration between 4 groups of residents involved in the brawl, namely residents of Kebon Singkong (Bonsi) Klender Village, Cipinang Muara Village, Jatinegara Kaum Village and Cipinang Jagal Village.

The peaceful declaration of the brawl between the three sub-districts was held in the RW 01 Kebon Singkong (Bonsi) area, Klender Village, Duren Sawit District on Sunday, November 24, evening.
