Carlo Ancelotti Responds To Kylian Mbappe's Declining Performance
JAKARTA - Real Madrid's head coach. Carlo Ancelotti did not deny Kylian Mbappe's difficulty in adapting to the team. Not scoring since October, it's natural that a caliber player is frustrated.
"Every attacker must have had difficult times. If so, they must be a little frustrated, just like Mbappe," said Ancelotti, quoted from the Real Madrid website in Jakarta, quoted from ANTARA, Sunday, November 24.
Throughout October to mid-November, Mbappe scored only one goal from seven games he had with Real Madrid.
However, Ancelotti ensured that Mbappe still had the motivation to end his bad trend.
The Italian tactician said that Mbappe received full support from all Real Madrid players.
"Mbappe continues to train happily with his friends. His bad times will end soon. He did everything very well and I'm sure he will have an amazing match against Leganes," said Ancelotti.
Real Madrid will travel to Leganes headquarters on Sunday evening local time in the 2024/2025 La Liga Spanish League continued.
If you win three points, Real Madrid, who are now in third place in the 2024/2025 Spanish League standings with 27 points from 12 matches, will shift Atletico Madrid (29 points, 14 matches) to sit in second place.
Ancelotti confirmed Mbappe would play in the match and had the opportunity to break his deadlock in scoring goals.
"He has trained well and his physical condition continues to improve. I hope he is able to show all his potential when facing Leganes. Mbappe is very calm and happy to be here," he said.
Meanwhile, regarding the possibility of changing Mbappe's position from the center striker to the winger to expedite his goals coffers, Ancelotti hinted that this was not necessary.
That's because Mbappe can exchange positions on the field with left-wing striker Vinicius Junior.
"He and Vinicius don't actually have a position to stay on the pitch. They can exchange roles depending on the situation in the match," said Ancelotti.
Ancelotti then emphasized that Mbappe had never asked him to fill a certain position at all.
"What is clear is that he wants to be in the first 11 list, like other players," he said.
