Flash Floods In Deli Serdang, Four People Died, 9 Injured And 2 People Declared Missing

JAKARTA - Flash floods hit Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, on Saturday (23/11) at 19.00 WIB. As a result, four people were declared dead.

Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center, Abdull Muhari, said that the four residents were 3 years old and two elderly people (elderly) and the rest were 35 years old.

In addition to the four people who were declared dead, said Abdul, nine residents were injured and two people were declared missing.

"9 injuries and two missing people with the identities of Budi Utama Simanjuntak (30) and Gerge Barus (40)," he said.

Not only that, this flash flood also resulted in one house of worship and four houses being heavily damaged.

"One house of worship and four houses were heavily damaged because they were dragged by the flood," he said.

On that basis, the joint officers consisting of the TNI-Polri and BPBD officers are currently searching for the missing victims.

"The missing person is still being searched," he concluded.
