Bawaslu Finds Indications Of ASN's Involvement In Supporting One Of The Paslon

BOGOR - Bawaslu found indications of violations related to the 2024 Pilkada in Bogor. The institution reported an ASN Bogor Regency Government, West Java, campaigning for one of the candidate pairs in the local regional election.

"There has recently been one (finding), namely related to the neutrality of ASN we have reported it to BKN," said Head of the Bogor Regency Bawaslu Ridwan Arifin after the election supervision alert at Tegar Beliman Field, Cibinong, quoting ANTARA, Sunday 24 November.

Following up on the findings, the Bogor Regency Bawaslu has sent a letter of recommendation to the Indonesian State Civil Service Agency (BKN) to impose sanctions on the ASN.

"For what we recommend to BKN, this is one person because he allegedly participated in the campaign and so on, but for sanctions, the authority is BKN," he said.

Ridwan said that currently the campaign period has now entered and is entering a period of calm ahead of the vote and vote count on November 27.

The Bogor Regency Bawaslu is more aggressive in monitoring when entering a period of calm and voting day by deploying panwaslu in 40 sub-districts throughout Bogor Regency.

"Supervision patrols in calm times, then coordinate with local governments, sub-districts, and villages and administrators under them to carry out impk control ( campaign props)," said Ridwan.
