Al Green Cover The Song Everybody Hurts Becomes More Soulful
JAKARTA - It is not surprising that Albert Leornes Greene alias Al Green is said to be one of the best soul singers ever. At the age of 78, he still inspired many listeners.
Recently, Al Green released a cover of the song 'Everyone Hurts', the single STEM which is included in the album Automatic for the People (1992).
The original version of 'Everybody Hurts' with soft rock nuances, turned into a very soulful song when Al performed it.
The veteran singer rearranged his version in support of the delivery of hopeful lyrics with the accompaniment of bands, strings and choirs.
"When I recorded 'Everyone Hurts', I can really feel the weight of the song, and I want to inject a little hope and light into it," Al Green said, citing an Instagram post caption, Friday, November 22.
"There is always light that can break through those dark times," he added.
Praise also came for the new version of 'Everyone Hurts' performed by Al Green.
