Prosecutors Present Witnesses At Rizieq Trial, The Lawyers Dig These Two Things

JAKARTA - The follow-up hearing of the case of alleged crowds Petamburan and Megamendung with defendant Habib Rizieq Shihab was again held in District Court East Jakarta. This time, prosecutors will present witnesses.

Rizieq Shihab's lawyer Aziz Yanuar said he would question the witnesses presented by the public prosecutor (JPU) on two matters. Firstly the question of permits and secondly related to the application of health protocols.

"Yes, among other things, do they know that the prokes have been run here, do they know that this is already a permit, there has been an acquisition of them why it is a problem", Aziz told reporters, Monday, April 12.

Aziz also confirmed that he will dig up the testimony of witnesses according to the news of the examination event (BAP). Then, the witness statement will be pitted against other witnesses. So, later came the facts about the matter.

"We focus on the elements of the articles alleged against the defendants. Then later we will cross-check to the witnesses who will attend it anyway", he said.

For information, the case that will be tried today is the case of alleged crowding and violations of health protocols in Petamburan and Megamendung with defendant Rizieq Shihab.

Then, the case of the crowd and prokes in Petamburan with the accused five former FPI officials, among others Haris Ubaidillah, Maman Suryadi, Ahmad Sobri Lubis, Idrus, and Muhammad Hanif Alatas.

They include Oka Setiawan cq M Afeno (Senior Manager of Aviation Security Soekarno-Hatta Airport), Budi Cahyono, M Soleh, Syafrin Liputo (Kadishub DKI Jakarta), Rianto Sulistyo, Bayu Meghantara (former Mayor of Central Jakarta), Rusfian, Sabda Kurnianto (Chief Executive of BPBD DKI), Ferixon, and Heru Novianto (former Chief of Police of Central Jakarta).
