A 3-year-old Boy Drifts 60 Km While Looking For A Crab, His Body Is Found In Tomang
JAKARTA - A boy with the initials FRA (3) was found dead on the banks of the West Flood Canal River, Tomang area, Grogol Petamburan District, West Jakarta.
The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Grogol Petamburan Police, AKP Muhammad Aprino Tamara, said that from the results of the police identification, it was found that the victim was not a resident of West Jakarta.
"The results of the examination and information show that Fahri Rizky Azhar's body was reported to have swept away in Cibinong River," said AKP Aprino when confirmed, Friday, November 22.
When the body was found, he continued, there were indeed families who were looking for the whereabouts of their children. The officer also matched the characteristics of the victim with the data brought by the victim's family.
"From the results of the examination, the characteristics in the corpse are indeed suitable for the data submitted by the family," he said.
AKP Aprino explained, after the victim's body was found, his party immediately asked for information from the victim's father. Before the incident, the victim was playing on the edge of the river in the Cibinong area.
"At that time, the victim was with her 5-year-old brother and another friend. Apart from playing, they were also looking for crabs," he said.
However, after that, Fahri did not come home.
"So, only the victim's brother and friends came home," he said.
The victim's friends' parents also asked about Fahri's whereabouts and both answered that the victim was swept away.
Hearing this answer, all residents also searched for Fahri's whereabouts. Finally, Fahri's body was found in the Tomang area or washed away as far as 65 kilometers from the location where the victim drowned.
"The victim died from drowning due to not being able to swim," he said.
The case is still being handled by the Grogol Petamburan Police.
