Acting Governor Of Kaltara Explains The Preparedness Of The Regional Head Election In Commission II Of The DPR

JAKARTA - The Acting Governor of North Kalimantan Province (Kaltara), Togap Simangunsong, attended a Working Meeting and Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission II of the DPR.

The meeting chaired by Commission II Chairman Rifqinizamy Karsayuda was attended by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) Bima Arya Sugiarto and Acting Governor and regional heads from all over Indonesia.

Commission II of the DPR discussed the readiness for the Simultaneous Regional Head Election (Pilkada) to be held on November 27, 2024. In addition to ensuring technical readiness, this meeting also discussed the importance of neutrality of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN).

"We want to ensure that the process of monitoring and readiness for the Simultaneous Pilkada can run well. ASN neutrality is very important," said Rifqinizamy, Wednesday, November 20.

Meanwhile in his presentation, Acting Governor. North Kalimantan Governor Togap Simangunsong stated that Kaltara Province is ready to carry out the Simultaneous Pilkada.

This, according to Togap, has been confirmed through a coordination meeting with regents and mayors in his area.

"We are ready to hold elections on November 27, 2024. This is based on the results of coordination with all district and city governments in North Kalimantan," said Togap.

He also explained that the realization of grant funds for the implementation of the Pilkada had reached 100 percent.

The funds consist of Rp128 billion for the Kaltara KPU, Rp23.7 billion for the Kaltara Bawaslu, and Rp8.5 billion for the Police.

Togap explained the data from the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Elections List (DPT) in Kaltara which reached 518,612 voters from the total population of 747,415 people.
