AS Roma's Target For Ranieri Without A Winter Exchange Transfer Budget
JAKARTA - AS Roma have introduced Claudio Ranieri as Ivan Juric's new manager last week.
Ranieri will carry out the manager's duties until this season is over. Furthermore, he will be in the ranks of the Giallorossi Board of Directors for long-term projects.
Despite having about half a season in charge of AS Roma, Ranieri is burdened with a tough enough target to bring the team to compete in the 2024/2025 Serie A standings.
"The (Ranieri) election is very important because it is a decision we make collectively, along with the Friedkin family (AS Roma owners)."
"The target is to appear as good as possible. He joined us in difficult times. We need to show our pride and move up to the highest possible position in the standings."
"We need to focus on the current situation so that we can move in that direction," said AS Roma Technical Director Florent Ghisolfi, on the club website.
However, AS Roma will not provide a budget for player spending in the winter market in January 2025.

This means that Ranieri must maximize the existing troops to achieve the club's target.
You see, the Giallorossi will save funds to build long-term projects after this season ends under Ranieri's design to become club director.
"I can confirm what the coach said. He has only spoken about the players we have here."
"First of all, he wants to see and feel for himself the situation, then we will work together on other things."
"We will work together simultaneously. He is the main part of the project with two stages. Now as a coach and later as a director, which will also be very important," said Ghisolfi.
Ghisolfi further put high confidence that Ranieri could bring AS Roma back to its respect.
The 73-year-old coach is not a foreign figure for the Giallorossi. He is a native son of Rome and led the Giallorossi in 2009-2011 and 2019.
"Claudio Ranieri doesn't need to be introduced again. We all know who he is. Right now Roma needs experience and we have to go back to our roots."
"Ranieri knows this team, he knows this club. What's more important is that he is a great coach with a myriad of international experience."
"That's why we think he's the right person for the current Rome project. It's also important to emphasize that he's not just our coach."
"He will be part of the management team here in the future in the Friedkin family project. It is important to have a clear vision and plan with him," said Ghisofi.
Currently, AS Roma are still in 12th place in the standings with 13 points. The Giallorossi only won three wins, four draws, and five defeats from 12 matches that have been undertaken.
