Vape Business In Bali, 2 Australian Citizens Deported

BADUNG - Two Foreign Citizens (WNA) from Australia with the initials CPG (22) and ICB (23) were deported from Bali Island. Both violated immigration rules because of the business being run.

Head of Immigration Detention Center (Rudenim) Denpasar Gede Dudy Duwita said the two Australian foreigners were deported after an examination was carried out regarding business activities they run in Bali.

"Especially regarding the sale of vape products that do not meet the legal requirements in force in Indonesia," said Dudy, Thursday, November 21.

Foreigners with CPG initials with their female friends ICB, manage the marketing and sales of vape products that violate the rules.

Vape products that are sold are imported directly from abroad and distributed to a number of shops in Bali through their personal connections.

The sale of the vape product is carried out without going through an official e-commerce route, which causes this business to not be registered in a system that should follow electronic goods trading rules in Indonesia.

In addition, immigration officers also found that the company that oversees the sales activities had not yet been registered with the Indonesian Business Field Standard Classification (KBLI) in accordance with the type of electronic cigarette product sales business.

"This means that the managed company does not meet one of the legal requirements that are required for business actors in Indonesia," he added.

From the results of the examination, the two Australian citizens were found guilty and violated Article 75 paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2011. Both were deported.
