Chacha Frederica And Dico Ganinduto Introduce Kendal Cultural Heritage Through Gold Kendil Batik

JAKARTA - Celebrity Chacha Frederica with her husband, Dico Ganinduto who served as Regent of Kendal, Central Java introduced Kendal's artistic wealth to the wider community, namely Kendil Emas batik, the result of creative collaboration with leading designer Mel Ahyar.

"Working on this in 2022. Until the launching process in 2024, it's almost 2 years old. But in 2022, Ms. Mel designed a picture and learned about the history of Kendal Regency, we will withdraw it for the past 3 or 4 months," said Chaca Frederica in the Melawai area, South Jakarta, Wednesday, November 20.

"The process up to the campaign is about 6 months," added Mel Ahyar.

The Golden Kendil theme is lifted from one of Kendal's typical folklore which contains deep cultural values and local wisdom. Each of these batik strands is carefully designed to describe the beauty, wisdom and spirit of the Kendal people who continue to live in the story of Kendil Emas.

Kendil Emas batik also has a very deep meaning for Kendal residents. Designed by 5 stitches of clothes, this batik symbolizes the pride and identity of Kendal people who are strongly attached.

Dico Ganinduto added that he deliberately made Kendil Gold Batik as PR for his wife to be able to increase awareness and be known nationally and internationally with Kendal Regency works.

"I give homework to my wife so that she can increase awareness and can be known nationally and internationally with her works (Kendal)," said Dico Ganinduto.

"Finally, my wife and the team, we can launch Kendal batik batik, which is a very good work as awareness for the Kendal community and increase MSMEs in Kendal," Dico added.

Dico himself hopes that later this Kendal Batik can be better known by its own people and internationally.

"Hopefully it can increase awareness of Kendal Regency and we will follow up, Kendal is increasingly known for increasing direction and this product is penetrated nationally and internationally," he continued.

The results of this work are presented in the form of an exhibition held at Le Nusa, a restaurant owned by Raffi Ahmad and Nagita Slavina which is also thick with elements of the archipelago.

In addition to introducing Kendal Batik to a wider audience, this exhibition is expected to encourage the public to appreciate and preserve batik as part of an invaluable cultural heritage.

With this exhibition, Kendal Regency not only contributes to preserving batik arts, but also makes a real contribution in strengthening the image of national culture.
