Police Disbanded The Brawls Of Cipinang Jagal And Bonsi Residents, No One Was Arrested

East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly confirmed that a brawl between residents of Kebon Singkong, Klender, Duren Sawit and residents of Cipinang Jagal, Pulogadung, East Jakarta occurred again on Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai on Thursday, November 21, at dawn.

"We managed to disperse the perpetrators of the brawl, but no one was arrested because when the police arrived they immediately dispersed," said Kombes Nicolas when confirmed.

According to Kombes Nicolas, the brawl involving the two groups of residents did not cause any injuries and lives.

"However, the perpetrators of this brawl carried sharp weapons as found at the scene, namely arrows, sickles and machetes," he said.

Kombes Nicolas admitted that he often appealed to both parties through "Ngopi Kamtibmas", "Friday Curhat" so as not to carry out brawls that could harm themselves and others.

"We have also established an integrated monitoring post and placed personnel to prevent brawls. We are also sweeping sharp weapons," he said.

Kombes Nicolas also hopes that there will be cooperation and synergy between the city government and the entire community to keep their environment conducive.

"We urge all residents, especially residents in Cipinang Jagal and Kebon Singkong to obey the laws in force in Indonesia. Do not be provoked or hold grudges against each other or feel the most correct and blame others," he said.

The East Jakarta Metro Police also admitted that they would tighten security in the area so that further brawls would not occur. There are three Polsek involved considering that the area is a border area between Duren Sawit, Pulogadung and Jatinegara.

Currently, the Resort Police and the East Jakarta city government are looking for a solution to resolve the brawl that occurred in Kebon Singkong.
