Minister Of Agriculture Amran Said That The Food Self-Sufficiency Brigade Was Budgeted At IDR 30 Trillion From Prabowo

JAKARTA - Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Andi Amran Sulaiman revealed that the Food Self-Sufficiency Brigade program which focuses on assisting land optimization (oplah) and land printing in realizing food self-sufficiency in 2028 received a budget disbursement of around Rp. 30 trillion.

"The total budget we are all given by the President is approximately Rp. 30 trillion," Amran said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, November 21.

He explained, until now there have been applicants who are interested in joining this program as many as 23,000 people.

The absorption of labor in this brigade will also be carried out in stages.

As for the process, the Minister of Agriculture explained that this Brigade consisting of 15 people will manage 200 hectares of land to be planted with rice commodities.

The total land to be cultivated is 1.3 million hectares in 12 provinces in Indonesia.

The government's support in this program is in the form of a grant of tools or agricultural machinery to seeds, and that is training or technical guidance for prospective brigades.

Meanwhile, regarding profit calculations, farmers or community owners who join this program will apply a profit-sharing system of 30 percent for land owners and 70 percent for land or millennials who are targeted for this program.

However, he did not close the door for land owners who also wanted to join the Food Self-Sufficiency Brigade to cultivate rice.
