Winning Lifetime Achievement Award for Film, Imam Tantowi: Like waking up from a dream
JAKARTA - The 2024 Indonesian Film Festival (FFI) continues its tradition by presenting the Lifetime Service Award for Film.
This year, Ario Bayu as the General Chair presented it to Indonesian director and screenwriter, Imam Tantowi.
Responding to this, Imam Tantowi admitted that receiving this award was like waking up from a dream after not being involved in the Indonesian film industry for decades.
"It's like I woke up from a dream after not being in film for decades. Switching to television since the first film came out," said Imam Tantowi at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Wednesday, November 20.
Imam expressed his gratitude to the committee for giving the award, which he said might be the last award of his life.
