Thomas Ramdhan Photo With John Patitucci During GIGI Recording New Album In New York

The 57-year-old bassist from Bandung also took a selfie with his idol, in the background of a cafe.

Although Thomas and John's style of play is different, it is not surprising that he called the 64-year-old bassist his idol.

John Patitucci is known as a jazz and fusion maestro who was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 22, 1959. His ability made many bassists jealous, he was able to play electric bass and contra bass very well.

Love for music led him to explore various genres such as jazz,tes, and classical music. He studied at San Francisco State University and Long Beach State University, by studying musical theory and composition.

In the early 1980s, John started his professional career working with famous musicians such as Tom Scott and Dave Grusin. His popularity began to climb when he joined Chick Corea Electric Band in 1985.
