The Use Of QRIS Increases 183.9 Percent, While ATM Transactions Drop
JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) noted that QRIS transactions in October 2024 continued to grow rapidly by 183.9 percent (yoy), with the number of users until October 2024 reaching 54.1 million with 34.7 million merchants.
BI Governor Perry Warjiyo conveyed that the performance of digital economic and financial transactions in October 2024 will continue to grow, supported by a safe, smooth and reliable payment system.
"In terms of large value, BI-RTGS transactions in October 2024 increased 21.13 percent (yoy) with a nominal transaction of Rp. 16,682.58 trillion," he said at a press conference, Wednesday, November 20.
Meanwhile, in terms of retail, the volume of BI-FAST transactions in October 2024 grew by 59.3 percent (yoy) to reach 339 million transactions.
Perry conveyed that digital banking transactions in the same month recorded 1,960.8 million transactions or grew by 37.1 percent (yoy), while Electronic Money (EU) transactions grew 27.0 percent (yoy) to 1,365.4 million transactions.

In addition, Perry conveyed that payment transactions using ATM/D cards in October 2024 fell 11.4 percent (yoy) to 558.8 million transactions.
Meanwhile, credit card transactions in the same month grew 19.6 percent (yoy) to reach 39.7 million transactions.
Meanwhile, from the management of Rupiah, the amount of Circulated Kartal Money (UYD) grew 11.8 percent (yoy) to Rp1,070.6 trillion at the end of October 2024.
