COVID-19 Update As Of April 11: Positive Cases Lower Than Cured Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released data on the development of handling COVID-19. Based on the results of the examination of 42,106 specimens, 4,127 new positive cases were found.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was found in Indonesia reached 1,566,995 people," as quoted from the Ministry of Health data, Sunday, April 11.
Meanwhile, for cured cases increased by 5,219 people. Thus, the total accumulative cases recovered reached 1,414,507 people.
On the other hand, the number of deaths due to COVID-19 has increased by 87 people. With this addition, the total accumulative cases died to 42,530 people.
Still referring to the data of the Ministry of Health, for provinces with the most positive case additions are still in DKI Jakarta. It is recorded that 1,031 people were exposed to COVID-19. With this addition, a total of 392,598 Jakartans have been exposed to COVID-19.
Then, followed by West Java with 747 cases, East Java 249 cases, South Kalimantan 241 cases, Central Java 205 cases, and East Kalimantan Banten 202 cases.
Meanwhile, the province with the most cured cases remains in DKI Jakarta with 1,426 cases. In the second place, West Java with 665 cases.
Furthermore, Central Java 355 cases, Kalimantan 317 cases, and East Java with 264 cases.
So far there are 7 provinces that report the addition of cases under 10, among others, Central Sulawesi, Aceh, Maluku, and Southeast Sulawesi. Then, recorded 3 provinces without positive cases, namely, North Maluku, West Sulawesi, and East Nusa Tenggara.
Furthermore, the number of specimens examined reached 13,365,972. In detail, a total of 12,438,552 specimens were examined using real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), 166,892 specimens using molecular rapid tests (TCM), and 760,528 specimens with antigen examination.
"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) is 13.35 percent," he wrote.
For the number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspect cases, it is recorded at 58,965 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
