Still Imported Utuh From China, MG Cyberster Will Be Locallyrakit?
JAKARTA - MG Indonesian motorcycles already have various electric car lines ups, even two models have been assembled locally, namely MG4 EV and ZS EV.
This year, at the GIIAS 2024 event, MG officially launched another electric car, namely Cyberster, which has now begun to be sent to consumers in Indonesia, and its status is still fully imported from China.
"Yes, this car (MG Cyberster) is still imported from China," said MG Motor Indonesia CEO He Guowei (Alec), when met some time ago in Jakarta.
Furthermore, the man who is familiarly called Alec revealed that the order for this electric roadster car had been ordered 50 units in Indonesia. So does MG plan to assemble this local model?
"I think for local content one of the factors is volume, because there will be a lot of modifications in the production line. Small volume is difficult to assemble here (Indonesia)," he added.
However, he revealed that MG also has an MG4 EV line-up that has been assembled locally in Indonesia, and the model is claimed to provide an experience that is classified as similar to the MG Cyberster.
"We also have an MG4 EV which also provides a similar driving experience," he explained.
In specifications, the MG Cyberster is equipped with Electric Convertible Roof and Automatic Scissor Doors which can be opened/closed in 10 seconds, creating an attractive supercar accent. Arrow-shaped backlight provides a distinctive touch that adds to the dashing impression. Overall it offers a futuristic and modern impression.
This interior car comes with a luxurious and modern feel. a triple screen panel that includes a 10.25-inch screen for virtual panel instrument (IP) and two 7-inch touchscreens in the middle (CTR), providing intuitive information and control.
Powered by two electric motors that generate 536 horsepower, the MG Cyberster offers extraordinary performance, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/hour in just 3.2 seconds. With a Ternary Ultra-thin battery with a capacity of 77 kWh, it reaches 503 km.
