Bareskrim: Drugs From Laboratorys In Bali Marketed With Pods

JAKARTA - The Directorate of Drug Crimes (Ditipidnarkoba) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police said that the marketing of narcotics types of hasith from the clinical laboratory in Bali uses a pods system.

"The modus operandi of drug trafficking using the pods system is a strategy used by the perpetrators because they take advantage of popular trends among young people," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Komjen Wahyu Widada, Tuesday, November 19.

Widada explained that the pods system is usually used as a tool for vaping, modified into media to smuggle or consume drugs, making it more difficult for authorities to detect.

This mode is considered effective because the pods system has a modern, practical, and often considered as an ordinary item that is not suspicious, thus attracting the attention of the younger generation segment which tends to follow the modern lifestyle.
