Cooperating With SpaceX, Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR) Will Bring Crypto Transaction Devices To Space

JAKARTA - Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR) plans to bring crypto transaction technology into space. To realize this plan, Hedera develops a rocket company owned by Elon Musk, SpaceX.

Hedera's collaboration with SpaceX was revealed by a leading crypto investor and expert named Shawn on November 15. In this project, Hedera will be the main platform to facilitate inter-satellite crypto transactions, potentially revolutionizing payment networks between satellites and transverse and space transactions.

Hedera was chosen because of its technology which is much more efficient than traditional blockchain. According to Shawn, Hedera is able to process trillions of transactions per second, much higher than Ethereum which only processes 12-15 transactions per second. In addition, its energy consumption is 970 million times lower than Ethereum, making it an ideal solution to energy challenges and efficiency in space.

In a blog post, Shawn described five main applications of Hashgraph technology in space, including secure satellite communications and payments, asteroid resource tokenization, to space traffic management. This technology also allows smart contracts for autonomous space vehicles that can make decisions independently based on real-time data.

This collaboration's real move was also confirmed by WISeKey CEO Carlos Creus Moreira, who stated that a trial of crypto transactions from space with the Hedera platform will soon be carried out. The project is referred to as Proof-of-Concept which marks a new era of blockchain-based intersatellite communications.
