3 Lumajang Residents Died As A Result Of Malang Earthquake

SURABAYA - East Java Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) reported three Lumajang residents died in the aftermath of the earthquake in Malang Regency.

"The data we received, there are three people from Lumajang died," said Acting Chief Executive of BPBD Jatim Yanuar Rachmadi quoted antara, Saturday, April 10.

The victims were Ahmad Fadholi from Tempurrejo Village, Tempursari Subdistrict, Juwanto from Kaliuling Village, Tempursari Subdistrict, and Kaliuling Village Nasar Tempursari Subdistrict.

"The victim on behalf of Ahmad Fadholi his body in the morgue of Pasirian Hospital. Meanwhile, juwanto and Nasar victims died from being crushed by the ruins of buildings," he continued.

In addition to the three people who died, recorded while five people were lightly injured, as well as two people were seriously injured on behalf of Sri Yani from Tempurrejo Village Tempursari Subdistrict, and Saden from Wasp Village Songo Village Pasrujambe Pasrujambe District.

The earthquake also impacted the buildings of SD Argosari 2, then damaged houses in 12 villages and seven sub-districts that until now were in the data collection, and Pronojiwo Health Center was damaged.

Previously, the Meteorological Agency for Geophysical Climatology (BMKG) of Malang Geophysical Station stated that a magnitude 6.1 earthquake (edified from 6.7 magnitude) shook Malang Regency, East Java, which was followed by aftershocks.
