TNI Commander Prepares 157 Thousand Personnel To Join The 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Elections

DENPASAR - TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo attended a prayer with interfaith held at GOR Yudomo Praja Raksaka Kepaon, Kodam IX/Udayana, in Denpasar, Bali.

The event, which was also attended by interfaith leaders in Bali and related officials, aims to pray for the smooth voting of the regional elections simultaneously.

"In the implementation of the Pilkada, the TNI will support the implementation of security in the amount of 157 thousand and we prepare sea and air land to support the implementation of elections," he said.

Meanwhile, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said he and the TNI Commander gave appreciation to the ranks of the Bali Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) as well as all interfaith figures and the community involved in this activity.

"I think this is a very important activity because in the future we will carry out the peak activities of the Pilkada series, namely voting and earlier conveyed by the Acting Governor of Bali, that the Bali democracy perception index occupies the number one position and of course it must be maintained," said General Sigit.

The National Police Chief reminded that despite the different choices, unity must be maintained.

"Of course there is freedom of expression of opinion in determining a decision of choice. But what we always encourage is how the entire community of this nation always places unity and integrity above personal and group interests," he explained.
