Director General Of Pas Gandeng BNN Searches 7 Salemba Detention Center Detainees Who Escape
The Director General of Corrections (Dirjen Pas) collaborated with the National Narcotics Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BNN RI) to hunt down 7 prisoners of the Salemba Detention Center who escaped by breaking through the ventilation tunnel of the prison cell wall.
The Director General of Pas involved BNN RI in hunting down 7 prisoners of the Salemba Rutan who escaped because one of the detainees had also been investigated by the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency. However, it has been 1 week since the prisoners escaped, they have not been arrested again.
"We are collaborating with BNN because one of the DPOs is the investigator from BNN," said Director of IT (Tikers) Director General of Corrections, Marcelina Budiningsih to VOI, Tuesday, November 19.
The Director General of Pas has also issued a People's Wanted List (DPO) for 7 escaped prisoners and inmates of the Salemba Detention Center.
"Currently, they are working with the police regarding the seven DPOs," he said.
Meanwhile, the Director General of Pas has also made preventive measures so that the incident of the escape of prisoners and prisoners does not happen again.

Previously, it was reported that the Head of the Correctional Division (Kadivpas) of the DKI Jakarta Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office, Tonny Nainggolan, said that his party had sent a letter to the Aceh Regional Police and the West Java Regional Police regarding 7 narcotics detainees who escaped from the Class 1 State Detention Center (Rutan) of Central Jakarta or the Salemba Detention Center.
"We wrote to the Aceh Police and the West Java Regional Police. We have asked the police for help and informed the prosecutor's office and the court who are processing the case concerned," said Head of the Tonny Nainggolan Division when confirmed, Wednesday, November 13.
Meanwhile, the security officers of the Salemba Rutan who were on guard at night at the time of the incident were investigated by the Directorate General of Social Affairs.
The 7 detainees who escaped through the culverts were a narcotics network from Aceh with the initials AAK bin R (22), J bin I (29), W bin T (47), MJ bin ZA (42) and M bin I (43).
Five of the seven prisoners and inmates of the Salemba Rutan who escaped through the culverts are known to be a narcotics network from Aceh. They fled across the iron-trellis water culvert which had also been cut.
Based on the photo seen by VOI, the culverts that are the crossing routes of the detainees, already look outdated, surprisingly unkempt. The incident of the escape of prisoners from the Salemba Rutan was discovered on Tuesday, November 12.
