DPR Plenary Session Sahkan 176 Bill Prolegnas Period 2025-2029, 41 Bills Jadi Prioritas

JAKARTA - The DPR ratified 176 Draft Laws (RUU) for the National Legislation Program (Prolegnas) for 2025-2029 in a plenary meeting held on Tuesday, November 19. The DPR Plenary Session also ratified 41 Priority Bill Prolegnas in 2025.

The ratification was made after the Chairman of the Legislation Body (Baleg) of the DPR, Bob Hasan, submitted a report on the preparation of the Prolegnas for the 2024-2029 period after holding a working meeting with the government on Monday, November 18, 2024.

The government and the DPR have proposed 40 bills to be included in the Prolegnas Bill for 2025-2029, and 8 bills as Prolegnas for the priority bill for 2025.

Meanwhile, the DPD proposed 109 bills to be included in the Prolegnas Bill for 2025-2029, and 15 bills as Prolegnas for the priority bill for 2025.

"So that in the preparation of the bill for 2025-2029, there are 299 bills that are considered to be included in the 5-year Prolegnas," Bob said in a plenary meeting, Tuesday, November 19.

Of these, continued Bob, the Legislation Body has discussed and discussed all proposed bills in work meetings and working committee meetings held on November 18, 2024.

The opinion and views that surfaced in the discussion and discussion were, among others, related to the evaluation of the implementation of the 2020-2024 Prolegnas Bill. The proposals of the DPR RI, the Government and DPD RI, as well as the rationality of the determination of the number of bills in the prolegnas as well as various suggestions and input submitted by members of the legislative body, the Ministry of Law of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as the Drafting Committee for the DPD RI Law, "he explained.

Based on this, the DPR Baleg working meeting with the Ministry of Law and the Drafting Committee for the DPD RI Law decided and determined that of the 299 proposals for the Prolegnas Bill, only 176 bills were decided to become Prolegnas 2025-2029.

The number of prolegnas bills for the 2025-2029 is 176 RU, along with 5 lists of open cumulative bills. The number of Prolegnas for priority bills in 2025 is 41 bills, along with 5 lists of open cumulative bills," said Bob Hasan.

After hearing a report from Bob Hasan, Deputy Speaker of the DPR as well as chair of the meeting, Adies Kadir, then asked for the approval of all members of the council against 176 Prolegnas Bill 2025-2029, whether it was approved or not.

"After we have listened carefully to the report of the leadership of the Legislative Body of the DPR RI, we as the leadership of the plenary meeting will ask the honorable council session, can the report of the legislative body of the DPR RI on the results of the discussion of the prolegnas Bill for 2025-2029 and the prolegnas for the priority bill for 2025 be approved?," said Adies Kadir, who was followed by the approval of all the members of the council present.
