Police Chief Awarded White Turban From Banten Ulama

JAKARTA - Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo was awarded a white turban by Bantenese clerics. Turban was given during the inauguration ceremony of Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Tajul Falah building, Banten.

The police chief said his work visit to Banten became an agenda meeting with scholars and community leaders whom he considered as friends.

"Today is actually a nostalgic meeting with my friends with Alim Ulama who have always been together. Although I have rarely met with my friend's Banten scholars, my love for Banten scholars will never fade", said Police Chief Sigit quoted Antara, Saturday, April 10.

Listyo Sigit said since he served as The Chief of Police of Banten until the current Police Chief, silahturahim rope (visit) with the scholars and public figures of Banten never broke up in the slightest.

"While serving as The Chief of Police of Banten and silaturahim never break up. Although at this time my position is far away, the relationship with the scholars is maintained", said Sigit.

Chief of Police Sigit said that the role and touch of religious leaders in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic that occurred today are very necessary. The goal is for people to join hands in breaking the coronavirus chain.

"With this pandemic let's join hands together to overcome this pandemic, keep spite, envy with others, even though our country consists of various diversity lets all brothers build this nation", said Sigit.

The police chief also stressed that his visit to Banten also ensured that his attention and love for all scholars and community leaders never went away.

In the inauguration, Sigit was surrounded by white turbans by alim ulama Banten and allowed to sign the inscription as a symbol of the inauguration of the building Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Tajul Falah, Banten.
