Welcome To The Black Parade Bakal Jadi Soundtrack Film
JAKARTA - Director Kevin Smith has revealed the song My Chemical Romance, which he will include in his latest film.
In the latest episode of his podcast, Fatman Beyond, entitled Live from the Quarantina Smith talks about how the COVID-19 pandemic or the corona virus is changing the world and the entertainment industry.
In response to a listener's question about what song he would like to return to the big screen, Smith said: "Welcome To The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance, MCR. An epic song. I was composing Clerks 3 around the song so this is actually a very serious question good for me. "
This came shortly after Smith confirmed that MCR vocalist Gerard Way would score the latest Clerks.
The cult film writer revealed an update to the project while promoting the reboot of Jay and Silent Bob - which was released last November.
According to SlashFilm, Smith told Q&A fans that Way would improve his score after he convinced the former My Chemical Romance singer to return to music.
In recent years, the singer has focused on the comic book series The Umbrella Academy. Way previously collaborated with Smith on a track for the 2014 horror film Tusk and recently released Simon & Garfunkel's cover song, Hazy Shade of Winter for the Netflix adaptation of Way's The Umbrella Academy.
Way's appointment of scoring came after Smith revealed that Clerks 3's plot was inspired by the heart attack that nearly killed him in 2018.
