Bkpm Budget Increase Assessed The Preparation Step Of The Ministry Of Investment
JAKARTA - Apbn observer Awalil Rizky admitted that he was not too surprised by the establishment of the Ministry of Investment and Job Creation. This is predicted through the amount of budget from the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) yamg raised up to 2.5 times in the State Budget 2021.
"In terms of budget there is an agenda to add to it (Ministry of Investment). Bkpm's allocation increased 2.5-fold. So it's visible," Awalil said in a virtual discussion, Saturday, April 10.
According to Awalil, when compared to 2019 and 2020, bkpm budget is estimated at Rp400 billion. However, this year, the budget allocation of institutions led by Bahlil Lahadalia skyrocketed to above Rp 1 trillion. Before 2021, bkpm budget has never been a priority of the government.
In fact, awalil continued, if you look at the details of the bkpm program matrix, there are not many changes and tend to be the same as in previous years.
However, when compared to the budgets of ministries and other institutions, the ceiling for BKPM in 2021 rose to 147.9 percent. The figure is well above the increase of all ministries and institutions which averages only 23 percent.
"The year 2021 has gone up and this seems to have been raised to become a ministry. But judging from the matrix of bkpm achievements has not changed much," he said.
With the increase in bkpm budget in 2021, Awalil said the transformation of BKPM into a ministry this year will not change the budget allocation much. Because, this year's budget has been approved and disbursed since the beginning of last year.
According to him, the most important thing right now is that BKPM must take a stand first, whether to play a role as a government spokesman to the business world or vice versa.
