Samsung Wallet Now Supports Digital Key For Audi Cars, Can Start Cars Using Cellphones
JAKARTA - Not long ago, Samsung Electronics officially announced that Samsung Wallet now supports digital key features or digital keys for Audi vehicles.
This means that this capability will allow Galaxy users to lock, unlock, and turn on Audi vehicles, directly from Galaxy smartphones, without requiring physical keys.
"We are delighted to be able to provide the extraordinary convenience of Samsung Digital Key for Audi drivers, which is supported by advanced and easily accessible UWB (ultra-wideband) technology through Samsung Wallet," said Woncheol Chai, EVP and Head of the Digital Wallet Team, Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics.
Woncheol said that Samsung's collaboration with Audi helped advance the company's vision of easy and technologically supported experiences in the Galaxy ecosystem.
Samsung Digital Key allows users to lock and unlock their vehicles and open baggage using Remote Keyless Entry (RKE). Once in the car, the driver can turn on their vehicle without using a physical key or remove the phone from the pocket.

Users can also safely share Digital Key via air with friends or with easy-to-use interfaces that allow owners to provide or disable access as needed.
This Samsung digital key is supported by Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC). So, if a device containing digital keys is lost or stolen, users can lock or delete their keys remotely via the Samsung Find service.
With the requirement of biometric-based user authentication or PIN, Samsung Wallet protects vehicles, ensuring privacy and security in each interaction.
