IPO Survey: Only 36 Percent Of People Are Satisfied With Ma'ruf Amin's Performance

JAKARTA - Indonesia Political Opinion (IPO) survey institute released the results of a survey related to public satisfaction with the performance of President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic

The IPO stated that President Jokowi received a satisfaction rate from the public of 56 percent, higher than Vice President Ma'ruf Amin who was only 36 percent.

"There is a link between the level of satisfaction between President Jokowi and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin," said Executive Director of Indonesia Political Opinion (IPO) Dedi Kurnia Syah in the discussion "Evaluation of Cabinet and Political Map 2024" which was broadcast virtually, Saturday, April 10.

The IPO details, the level of satisfaction between President Jokowi and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin is equally divided into three things. Namely the social, economic, and political-legal fields.

President Jokowi, said Dedi, got a fairly good level of satisfaction in the social and economic fields. However, not in the political-legal field.

"In the social sector, President Jokowi gets a satisfaction rate of 58 percent, the economic field is 55 percent, and the political and legal fields are low, which is 43 percent, greater than that expressed dissatisfaction which is as high as 49 percent," he explained.

Meanwhile, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin received a level of satisfaction in the social field as much as 40 percent, the economic field only 29 percent, and the political-legal field only 38 percent.

Reflecting the results of this survey, said Dedi, the public expects a collective work between President Jokowi and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin. Because, based on the survey results stated that the public did not see the collective work of Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin during the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"That is, now people only see President Jokowi working, not involving the vice president. Likewise the vice president may work, but do not dare to show it to the public so it is unknown," he said

For information, this survey was conducted on 1,200 respondents in the country during the one-year COVID-19 pandemic, which is from March 2020 to April 2021.
