Kun Wardana's Strategy To Overcome Jakarta Floods: Take AI To Build Porous Concrete

JAKARTA - Candidate for deputy governor of DKI Jakarta number 2, Kun Wardana admitted that he had a smart move to deal with marine problems in Jakarta. One of them is utilizing AI technology.

Kun said this AI technology will be placed in the reservoir and there to anticipate flooding. That way, he said, the position of the area in Jakarta would be seen so as not to be affected by flooding.

"So with there, reservoirs and canals, we can include AI technology there. So that he can smartly determine the best positions for Jakarta so as not to be hit by floods," he said in the third debate, quoted from the DKI Jakarta KPU YouTube, Sunday, November 17.

In addition, Kun said that his party would also build porous concrete. Where, he said, later the porous concrete sidewalk could absorb up to 600 liters of water.

We will carry out a concept called a concept called the permeable concrete system concept into a porous concrete system. So the sidewalks that are in the concrete have concrete. The pores can absorb 600 liters of water per meter per square per minute. So the amount is good for water absorption," he explained.

Kun also said that his party would map flood areas. Kun said this mapping aims to determine information on flood-prone points.

"The next thing we need to do a flood-scale mapping is to find out information on vulnerable points and this information needs to be informed by residents," he said.
