The Beauty Of Reza Rahadian's Converted Journey, Without Intrigue And Tolerance
JAKARTA - There is a beautiful story behind the journey of convert Reza Rahadian. Born and raised in a Christian family, Reza recounts god's quest he believed in Daniel Mananta.
"My transition was not for any reason other than the belief that I felt it was my dialogue with God. Raised as a Christian, I was from a small Sunday school. Glenn Fredly was one of my Sunday school teachers at the church at the time," Reza was quoted as saying from Daniel Mananta Network's YouTube channel, Saturday, April 10.
The star of the film Perempuan Berkalung Surban believes in converting to Islam because of the call of Allah. Not for the reason couples as plurals occur in society.
"The work is not, the partner moreover, or the coercion of the people around or those closest to you who may invite. Not at all. But that's my communication with the above and communication with the caveman. That's why I communicated to Nyokap," he said.
Reza became a convert when his mother, Pratiwi Widantini Matulessy did not give a conflict. All decisions are purely Reza's decisions, with no intrigue in the family.
"'I think you have...' Belom finished I said, you know what? 'It's your right to determine your beliefs. Pesen Mama one, live it and believe it well.' That's it, already, no debate, no quarrel," he added.
Until now Reza claimed to still learn about Islam. "So, I can't say, I've been living my religious teachings well, with what I'm supposed to be. Prayer is a lot of it is my definition when I speak a religion that I believe, I live," said Reza Rahadian.
