JAKARTA - Pramac Ducati racer Jorge Martin won the 2024 MotoGP title, after ending a long competition with Ducati Lenovo Team racer Francesco Bagnaia until the last series race.
In the main race of the Solidarity GP which took place at the Catalunya Circuit, Barcelona, Sunday, Jorge Martin finished on the third podium. This was enough to lock up the title even though Francesco Bagnaia was the fastest in the main race of the Solidarity GP.
Jorge Martin became the champion after securing a total of 508 points or ten points ahead of Pecco Bagnaia who was in second place.
Pecco, who started from pole position, started the race well after successfully securing the leading position.
Meanwhile, Jorge Martin, who started the race from fourth, immediately took over second place to overshadow Bagnaia.
Entering the second lap, Marc Marquez, who was in third place, maneuvered to take second place from Jorge Martin.
