Here's Coach Julian Nagelsmann's Comments After Germany Destroyed Bosnia 7-0

JAKARTA - Germany's national team coach Julian Nagelsmann said his squad played "floodly hungry" when they beat Bosnia and Herzegovina with a score of 7-0 in the Group 3 UEFA Nations League League match at the Europa-Park Stadium, Freiburg, Germany, Sunday morning WIB.

"We played with a very 'hungry', both when defending and attacking. We did not relax even during the substitution and did not give the opponent a pause throughout the match," Nagelsmann said, quoted from the German Football Association (DFB) in Jakarta, Sunday.

According to the 37-year-old tactician, one of the most prominent aspects of his squad's game when they beat Bosnia and Herzegovina was pushing back.

Nagelsmann assessed that his team was able to exert direct pressure back to the Bosnian defense and Herzegovina when Kai Havertz and his friends managed to snatch the ball from his opponent.

"In the past, we rarely flowed the ball quickly forward when we won the ball. But it worked well today," he said.

The only thing that bothered Nagelsmann's mind from the match versus Bosnia and Herzegovina was the injury to team captain Joshua Kimmich.

This situation forced Kimmich to be pulled out in the 73rd minute to be replaced by Robin Koch.

"Hopefully the injury is not serious," said Nagelsmaann.

German winger Jamal Musiala said the match against Bosnia and Herzegovina was fun.

Musiala, who scored their first goal for Germany in the match through a header, considered the game to be lighter after they scored several goals.

"After presenting several goals, we played more freely. We were also good at defending. Regarding the header goal, I didn't train specifically. It was only a matter of positioning," said the Bayern Munich club player.

The German national team's seven goals against Bosnia and Herzegovina were scored by Jamal Musiala, Kleindienst Team (two goals), Kai Havertz, Florian Writz (two goals) and Leroy Sane.

The victory saw Germany qualify for the 2024-2025 UEFA Nations League A quarter-finals as the unbeaten group winner. Of the five matches that have been passed, Germany has collected 13 points.

Meanwhile, Bosnia and Herzegovina are certain to be eliminated from the League A competition and must play for League B UEFA Nations League.
