Bukan Inovasi, Lapor Mas Wapres Dianggap Kemunduran

JAKARTA Public policy observer, Agus Pambagio asked that the Lapor Mas Vice President service initiated by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Gibran Rakabuming Raka be canceled. This is because the service is a setback, not an innovative thing.

According to him, complaint services carried out at the vice president's level are not unnecessary, because they have the potential to overlap with the main duties and responsibilities of other institutions and ministries, especially regarding the long bureaucratic process. In addition, the transparency process is often difficult to carry out in the complaint service process.

"Is there a report to the public, how many came in, how many were in trouble, how much was finished, if it's not finished? It must be explained to the public. If it is held by the Vice President, the series will be long. Who should the report be? Can you really call a minister?" Agus said, Sunday, November 17, 2024.

He revealed that similar services had been run by the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) and proved not to work. The reason is, the service is only a forum for complaints, while the execution stage remains in the ministry.

Agus emphasized that instead of just for imaging, the government should strengthen complaint services in each ministry. This is because complaints from the public will certainly be technical, which should be handled by the relevant ministries or institutions.

"It is more optimal for the ministry to make the service, especially now that the number of ministers is already large. It's a pity that the Vice President's Secretariat when reporting to the Vice President can only accommodate complaints, but cannot execute because it is the authority of the ministry," he concluded.
