President Prabowo Arrives In Brazil To Attend The G20 Summit

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived at Galeao Air Base in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Saturday (16/11) evening local time, to attend the G20 Summit.

Followed online from Prabowo Subianto's personal YouTube in Jakarta, Sunday, President Prabowo and his entourage landed at Galeao Air Base at 23.40 local time. The President was accompanied by Foreign Minister Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya and his son Aditya Hediprasetyo.

The President was greeted by Brazil's Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia George Monteiro Prata and the Indonesian Ambassador to Brazil, Edi Yusup, who was accompanied by the Indonesian Embassy in Brasilia Defense Attache Colonel Inf Rizal Ashwam Amanda. President Prabowo wore a black suit and came down from the stairs of the presidential plane while saluting the officials who welcomed his arrival in Brazil.

After a while of dialogue with the welcomeers, President Prabowo was directed to a white Mercedes Benz state car, as well as a flag ornament for Indonesia and Brazil to continue their journey.

President Prabowo's Media Team informed that the President and dozens of G20 leaders are scheduled to discuss issues surrounding overcoming the problem of poverty, hunger, and environmentally friendly energy transition strategies in the world.

This G20 Summit has the theme Build a World of Justice and a Sustainable Planet. Previously, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto left Lima City, Peru, Saturday (16/11) afternoon local time, to Rio de Janeiro Brazil.

Presiden Prabowo berangkat dari penginapannya di Peru menuju Bandara Jorge Chavez, Peru, sekitar pukul 15.00 waktu setempat. Selama di Peru, Kepala Negara telah menghadiri sejumlah pertemuan bilateral selama di KTT APEC 2024 yang berlangs pada 14-16 November 2024.

On the first day of the event, Prabowo met Peru President Dina Bouarte and attended a morning meal with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. Entering the second day, Prabowo also held a bilateral meeting with the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Luong Cuong, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau and also New Zealand PM Christopher Luxon.

Closing activities in Peru, Prabowo delivered his final speech at the APEC Summit before leaving for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
